Mother's Day Gift Guide

May 13 is Mother's Day.  Who deserves to be celebrated more than the moms who work hard to make sure their kids are cared for?  Or the grandmas, aunts, and other women who "mother" us and our children?

Welcome to my 2017 Mother's Day Gift Guide, where you'll find my favorite photo-related products for the women who mother you and yours.  (Affiliate links throughout.)

The most obvious gift?  TIME.  And to preserve time as a family, I think a family or lifestyle photo session makes a great gift.  Just email me at meganlandmeier@gmail.com for a gift card or to schedule.  So often, mom is behind the camera and not in a single photo.  I know I'm guilty of this one!

If you're looking for something you can mail out to all the moms you or your child love, check out the greeting cards over at Minted.  With a single photo or collage, you can give a card that the recipient will want to keep on the fridge forever.  Their wall art is another way to give a creative gift.

Pinhole Press has a whole Mother's Day section!  If mom drinks, the wine labels are a great option.  I recommend a photo of the child acting out.

The brag book is a sweet way to share as well, and I'm sure Grandma would love to show off her grandkids.  (Although I think dramatic babies are cute, so I would still include something like my daughter's beach tantrum!)

TinyPrints is my go to for mugs, notepads, and other cute photo gifts.  I think a mug with nice coffee is something every mom needs, especially if her kids keep her up all night!  Plus, I offer an exclusive code good for 30% off and free shipping.* Enter PHGDX29XB6 at checkout.

Maybe you're shopping for a mom who is a photographer herself?  Capitol Maker offers these great mugs, perfect for early mornings in front of a computer!  (Full confession: This isn't an affiliate link.  This is the result of me having a long editing day and asking the owner of Capitol Maker if she'd make me a mug.)

If Mom loves prints and gallery walls (ME!) check out Artifact Uprising.  Their wall art display options are a designer's dream.  Their square prints are perfect for the Instagram lover!

Already have a photo session scheduled?  Grab Mom some cute Noonday Collection accessories to wear for her session!  I am biased toward statement earrings.  This pair has a sweet little pop of red, and they support moms in Haiti (and all over the world.)  The Joy Necklace is backordered but worth the wait!

Whatever you do, here's to a great day with your family or friends and those who do the work of caring and nurturing and teaching strength and love!

Ft. Ward Easter {Arlington, VA Family Photographer}

I love seeing the same families year after year, even if they're families I see on a weekly basis!  This family does their annual card for Easter, and I had so much fun and so many laughs photographing their kids.

A last minute message led to a last minute session, where big sister was happy as can be and little brother was not.  In spite of that, we ran around Ft. Ward and managed to capture some great moments.

And mom brought pinwheels, which are always amazing.
