First Birthday Photos: Arlington, Va.

The weather on Tuesday featured record-breaking heat and warnings and watches for major storms.  I emailed Miss K's mommy and asked if she needed to reschedule, but she said that K would be just fine... and she was!  We had our photo session as the clouds rolled in and the temperatures began to cool slightly.  This little girl was a delight.  She wasn't sure what to think about the frosting on her cupcake but she was willing to try it all!

This little love is moving soon so her daddy can continue serving our country, but she didn't seem super thrilled about packing.

Buddies.

These two have been in a nanny share together for the majority of their lives.  When one family prepared to move away, the other mom decided to get photos of the boys together.

I can't even handle the cuteness.  We will all miss you, C, but none as much as your partner in crime!

Three Brothers.

My school hosts an auction every year, and this year, I gave away a photo shoot.  The winning bidder was mom of these three adorable boys!  I got a chance to photograph them this weekend at their beautiful home.  How great is that yellow door as a background?  

Since my husband is one of three boys, too, it gave some a glimpse of the laughs his mom must have experienced when they were growing up.  A sampling of the shots is below, and you can see the whole gallery here.
