Sometimes the opportunity for a styled shoot is simply too good to pass up. When Capitol Maker started creating this shirt, I knew my intern would love it. The bright backgrounds of Old Town would naturally be the perfect background. We bought donuts at Sugar Shack and spent the morning photographing the scene with coffee, donuts, cookbooks and lots of laughter.

Sessions are $65 for the first child and $55 for each additional child. They'll happen in Arlington, VA and must be paid in full to reserve a session date.

My six year old plays Challenger Baseball. For Mother's Day Weekend, we got to go to Virginia Beach to watch her very first "tournament." Despite a rainy start to the weekend (and a crazy-long drive), we had a great time. Here are a few highlights.
A few weeks ago, a site I follow posted about a walk for photographers happening at various locations all over the world. I was thrilled to see that a walk was occurring in Old Town Alexandria, which happens to be one of my favorite photo locations. I joined about ten other women, all great photographers, to walk around town with our cameras. We captured the scenery and each other, we laughed, and despite the grey and overcast day, we had a great time.
