I’ve been neglecting this blog all month! Well, time to catch up and share this beautiful newborn session from early December! I met this family when I photographed big sister as a newborn, and I’ve been capturing them each year since. I love seeing families grow!
Family Meeting Santa
I take a break from photography in December, aside from newborns, so this space may be quiet for a bit. However, I had to share these images from the Shirlington Village Tree Lighting last night!
This was the best Santa ever! Ellie, age 7, has been back and forth about believing in Santa, but I think last night has her back squarely in the “real” category.
Holiday in Old Town: Alexandria, VA
The weather was freezing, but the Christmas decorations in Old Town were on (almost) full display on Black Friday. The tree was up but not yet lit, but greenery, ornaments, and lights were everywhere! We bundled up between shots, and mom knocked the outfits out of the park with the girls’ winter coats in Christmas colors!
Love and Laughs: A Carlyle House Session
When I see little N, who is almost three, love and laughs are the first two words that come to mind. He is so full of energy I don’t think he sat still once during our session (or maybe once for a bribe?) but he had me rolling with laughter. The last time I photographed him, he was nearly two, and the difference is amazing - he talks SO much now, and had so many observations to share with us.
His parents are also absolutely delightful, and I love having clients that have become friends!
Carlyle House: Family of 3 in Old Town Alexandria
This sweet family of three met me at Carlyle House for a very cold session the weekend before Thanksgiving. This darling boy was a ham, and so fun to photograph jumping, running, and generally being silly. I love this preschool age - although 3 and 4 year olds are rarely still, they are so full of life and energy!
Six Months Old at Green Spring
Thursday morning was my first time photographing at Green Spring Gardens, and I will certainly be back! The permit process was simple, the grounds beautiful, and the clients lovely.
Baby J was celebrating her half birthday milestone. She gave me lots of smiles and silly faces and was simply adorable. Her parents were great and amazing sports - everyone was coming off being sick and they showed up right on time anyway! We had an amazing time exploring… I can’t wait for my next Green Spring adventure!
