Family of Four {Arlington, VA Photographer}

This family was so fun!  We laughed and joked around.  Mom was absolutely radiant and I loved catching the laughter and smiles.

This session was also a treat because it had been rescheduled from summer, and I think waiting for fall had a great payoff with the beginning of changing leaves and lovely colors.

I'm booked for fall family sessions but I'm booking Maternity and Newborns for 2017!

A First Birthday Celebration {Alexandria, VA Baby Photographer}

The cutest, pouty-ist lips.

The thickest hair.

The most beautiful siblings and parents.

And the most anti-cake baby I've ever met.

This first birthday session was hilarious and adorable.  This sweet little man acted like we were torturing him to get him to try some cake.  His older siblings were happy to sample, but he was not having it.  However, he was still completely adorable and I loved working with his family!  I'm working on putting together my own baby's cake smash next week and wondering if she'll feel the same way!

The Whole Family {Arlington, VA Family Photographer}

I got a message recently asking if I could do a session over a weekend I'd blocked off for rain makeups.  I said "yes" pretty quickly, because the session was for a family in town from the Chicago area, Blacksburg, and Florida.

I had a fantastic time capturing this family with grandparents and siblings and so much laughter.  We went to the Bon Air Rose Garden and I was pleasantly surprised to see how many roses were still in bloom, although we also got to play in the fall leaves a bit!  That crisp air is right around the corner (right?  right?) and I'm booking just a couple more fall session!

A Double Cake Smash: Annandale, VA Twin Birthday Photographer.

I love cake smashes.  I love first birthdays.  And I love twins.

So when I got an inquiry incorporating all three of those things, plus some cute Dr. Seuss themed accessories, I knew I would have fun with this family.

As is typical, one of the boys thought the session was great fun and the other disagreed completely.  However, we laughed a lot and managed to get some great, cake-y shots of both twins.

Happy birthday F and M!

Brothers in Old Town: Alexandria, VA Family Photographer.

Thanksgiving weekend was my weekend to photograph adorable little boys.  I was so excited to meet these sweet brothers.  Their session had been scheduled before baby Caroline was born, and then we had to postpone due to travel.  They were worth the wait!

We walked around Old Town seeking out adventures.  We found doors, bright colors, rocks and leaves.

I put the littlest in a bucket for a shot, and big brother decided to copy.

Three Brothers.

My school hosts an auction every year, and this year, I gave away a photo shoot.  The winning bidder was mom of these three adorable boys!  I got a chance to photograph them this weekend at their beautiful home.  How great is that yellow door as a background?

Since my husband is one of three boys, too, it gave some a glimpse of the laughs his mom must have experienced when they were growing up.  A sampling of the shots is below, and you can see the whole gallery here.

Don't forget to "like" Megan Landmeier Photography on Facebook - there is a great deal coming up to celebrate the end of school!  Yay!  And in the meantime, that's where you'll find my favorite summer photos of my own family as I count down.
